INLINE DETONATION TYPE AND DEFLAGRATION ARRESTORS

Arrestors allow gas and vapor to flow through but prevent backflow of flames to avoid larger fires and explosions. In the event of a flame making it to the arrestor, the flame cell element absorbs heat to prevent the flame from propagating further upstream.

maintenance without shutting down your line.

Note:

The geometry, size length of piping and piping systems are important to consider when selecting a flame

arrestor. It is possible that the level of turbulence generated by combinations of these factors may render

a flame arrestor incapable of quenching a flame front. Studies have noted that a correlation of the

performance of a flame arrestor and piping size is not always possible. It may be necessary to have tests

performed for the particular size of flame arrestor proposed for use.
